Yang Power Hour

This is a vinyasa style of power yoga. This is a class that will build agni or heat in the body through using the breath to flow through asanas that will build strength and increase flexibility. Some consider this style as a “moving meditation” becoming lost in the flow. All levels of practitioners are welcome. Modifications can be demonstrated for certain poses. Hands on assists and adjustments are offered to deepen the experience and promote proper alignment.

Yin at Ten

This is a slow paced class with a cooling effect on the body. The practice has roots from Chinese medicine using certain poses to activate channels in the subtle body. Poses are held longer with the use of props to create more space in the body. The poses target the connective tissue in the body such as tendons, ligaments, and fascia with the goal of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Some may experience this class as meditative with focus on inner stillness and universal connection. This is a complementary practice to more active styles of yoga such as power yoga.
